#6750 06.05.2026 Relaxing with a pair of samples after my bike ride. Listening to some A State of Trance on Spotify. A rum in the cheap end of the spectrum, a mixer and it does actually do pretty well in a cola or fanta. A light rum with nice fruits and close to agricole notes.

Although it was distilled only from molasses and sugar, it interestingly has slight agricole notes especially in the smell. On the palate then nice notes of unripe banana. I'm curious what it will become after aging. But so far I have to say it's already an exciting raw distillate with lots of potential. I would recommend it for daiquiris.

Bought as an inexpensive blender that is supposed to be rather neutral. And it does that well. But it actually has a bit of funk. Otherwise aromas of sugar cane and surprisingly mild overall. Super PLV

A subtle nose. Banana ice cream with even more distant notes of cherry. After a few minutes of airing it becomes more grassy. A sweet palate. The Banana ice cream has become more vanilla ice cream with chunks of fresh Banana and toffee drizzle. There's also some candied ginger. The finish is short with notes of banana (again) and gingerbread. Overall, not bad for a 40% white. Better than I was expecting. Very much on the sweet side. Easy drinking with that approachable banana note running through it.
