Smells and tastes savory. Chili both on the nose and on the palate. Woody, spicy, grassy. Rather little fruit. Very interesting.

Surprisingly fruity for an Agricole.

Very niche bottling for Distillerie Du Simon..as far as I can tell, it’s really an unusual expression for a Martinique rum..you surely get vegetal and mildly grassy notes, although these are quickly covered by chili, green pepper and woody, with a touch of underripe banana and mango. On the palate, these flavors evolve into more complex notes, like cola and smoke. Truly unexpected

The typical Agricole notes recede into the background here in favor of spices, roasted aromas and a certain spiciness, which is not unpleasant, however.

Wow, an exceptional Agricole from Martinique. Different from everything I knew from there so far. Not typically earthy-grassy, somewhat fruitier and almost dirt-sweet. And only 42 bottles. A few more percent would probably have done it good anyway. Maybe I have to try some Clement more often in the future..
