A bomb. Black olive brine on the nose and glue, followed by an explosion of dark chocolate and salt on the palate. Superb. Deguste à l'aveugle a la soirée Rhum Club Paris (Hôtel Maison Mère)

Love it or hate it - completely your own profile. I like Le Galion well, even if I can understand that not everyone will be happy here. The bottling has similarities with the Grand Arômes of Savanna, but again brings a somewhat spicy-herbaceous note purely, which in return the fruit ester sharpness somewhat invalidates - if one can speak of it at all here. Worth trying in any case!

Le nez est plutôt puissant avec des notes végétales et herbacées, des solvants jamaïcains. Le tout adoucie par le fût de Sherry. On retrouve donc des esters, de l’olive, des fruits tropicaux … le tout s’enrobant dans l’atmosphère d’une file d’attente de chez le pharmacien. En bouche c’est explosif et complexe, cela part dans tous les sens comme un feu d’artifice. On est vraiment sur quelque chose d’expérimental et sans contrôle ! C’est porté sur le végétal, l’herbe fraichement coupée au matin, du raisin sec, de l’orange, du vernis, des solvants, de la menthe, du sucre brûlé …

Assez déconcertant, car au nez on pense tout de suite à un jamaïcain, donc on est loin des marqueurs habituels de la Martinique. C’est assez agréable au nez, et à la bouche également. Belle longueur, on ne sent pas du tout les 59 degrés.

Had a nice The Nectar tasting yesterday in preparation for today's Renegade tasting, which I really look forward to. Nice and fruity rum from nose to finish and the palate adds a bit of smoke, menthol and spices to it. There is some spiciness to it but I can't put my finger on whether it's pepper or ABV coming through, no netter what, I like it.

Ziemlich extremes Teil aber kein Wunder bei galion als Ausgangsprodukt und dann noch in PX & DOK Fässer gepackt :D Olive, Menthol, Beef jerky, etwas gebackene Banane, vergorenen tropische Früchte und Zuckerrohr und insgesamt eher süß/sauer. Spannend aber nichts für jeden Tag 😂

Un nez qui ferait penser à un jeune Jamaïcain. Une bouche plus douce que je ne l'attendais Un léger côté tourbé pas dérangeant et même agréable. C'est sympa ! Plus facile à boire que je ne l'aurais cru.
