Blind, most tasters guess a much older rum than four years — that's the surprise here. The nose leans sweet: caramel, honey, marzipan, molasses, almost hard to believe it's a Beenleigh over 60%. The palate flips drier, all red fruit, black pepper and clove, with real heat on the attack. Give it a few minutes' air and the fruit opens up.

Very good rum, not molasses, nicely fruity, with a touch of vanilla and caramel. It needs a little aeration to fully enjoy its potential. Beautiful length, nice balance, the finish adds a little extra. I like it a lot

On the nose, it's very sweet, with a hint of caramel. There's marzipan, honey, molasses... sugar in itself! It's very round, too round for my taste. But for those who like this type of profile, it's pretty impressive. It's hard to imagine that we're sniffing a BDF at over 60%! The attack is warm and peppery, and there's no doubt that the 62.4 watts are present, without detracting from the homogeneity of the whole ... for hardened palates. On the palate, more red fruit, wood and, above all, spices (pepper, cloves).

Very good Australian! Blind I would have guessed a much longer maturation. Luckily you don’t taste the balsamic cask. But maybe it gives the rum a complexity that suits it well!
