Notes remind of caramel and vanilla. A fruity undertone joins in. Besides hearty tropical fruits, one notices a hint of spice and oak.

Yesterday for the second time tried the Sonthi Rum Panama at a rum tasting. I downgraded it a bit because it is now too sweet for me. You can taste some nuts and also vanilla as well as spices typical for a spiced rum.

Bottle Market Bremen October 2024. Taken by daring, just because 4/6 were missing in the set. Well, not much rum, immediately a very sweet nose, vanilla and honey, but also walnut is recognizable. On the palate also quite sweet, honey, vanilla and caramel, also some nut is noticeable. As already written, this is a liquid dessert.

Got the chance to try this today. You can tell from the nose what to expect in terms of taste. Very sweet, lots of vanilla and caramel. So the smell and taste are very similar. Definitely an option for sweet rum drinkers. Not really my taste though.

I can't understand the previous positive reviews here. This is a sweet spirit based on rum and not rum. The added sugar and the walnut aroma don't make it better. For the money, better buy 4 bottles of Frangelico, it also goes down better with the ladies ;)
