The nose leans earthy and green — grass, wet vegetal notes, a whisper of milk chocolate — then the palate turns fruity with red fruits, apricot and a floral lift. Almost no funk, no glue, no overripe banana. An unusually tame, easy-drinking white pot-still that puzzles more than it punches.

C'est un drôle de Jamaïcain, a l'aveugle, je pense qu'il me serait impossible de deviner que ce jus bien du pays Bob. En effet ce qui me frappe c'est une sensation de chocolat au lait d'amande en premier. C'est fruité mais pas forcément a la Jamaïquaine (Abricot / Prune / Poire / (Très peu tropical)), légèrement épicé (Douce) (Cannelle / Girofle / Réglisse) une pointe de cuivre nous affirme la distillation en pot mais c'est très léger. Le rhum est assez végétale et frais comme si on étais avec un pur jus (Gingembre / Agrumes / Vert / Floral / Terreux). Bref de la Jamaïque bien sage et très peu funky, c'est pas forcément ce que je recherche mais c'est plutôt intéressant et très simple a boire. Pas mal.

Nez très fort sur le végétal, terreux avec un fond de chocolat. En bouche beaucoup plus fruité avec des fruits rouges qui ressortent, même si on garde un fond végétal. Pareil sur la finale le végétal et fruité s’entremêlent bien.

Difficile à noter car j'avais déjà pas mal déguster, mais globalement un peu déçu par ce jamaicain. C'est très voir trop léger. Une belle entrée de gamme pour ne pas faire peur aux débutants, mais si on compare à un hampden, c'est faiblard. Le prix est par contre très juste. Une entrée de gamme.

Worthy Park is Jamaica's true cane-to-glass estate. Its land was granted in 1670, it runs the island's oldest and most efficient sugar factory, and it makes rum from molasses it produces itself. After falling silent in 1962, the distillery was rebuilt from scratch in 2005 and now bottles some of the most respected modern estate rum in the Caribbean.
