"Typical Depaz profile," as one member puts it — warm, woody and spicy, with black pepper leading the way. This is the roasted, oak-forward side of Martinique agricole: cedar, tobacco and candied fruit over a grassy base, with just enough vanilla and dried fruit for a hint of sweetness. At 58% it drinks astringent neat, so most reach for a few drops of water to let the fruit come through.

An excellent agricultural. Elegant and greedy woody, sweet and pleasant spices, a little touch of candied citrus fruits on top. A real pleasure. It makes me want to continue my discoveries of Martinique's brut de fût.

Another very nice Agricole, but slightly different in the notes. Woody from nose to finish, but lovely and fruity on the palate. We'll balanced with an earth touch. Price to quality is very good.

Tasting date 08.08.2026 at Mr. M Nørregaards residence, together with Mr. K Sørensen and Mr. P Chihan. RX9481 Depaz 2004. Nose: Well balanced deep wooden notes, dark dried fruits. Mouth: Excellent balanced sweetness from dried dark fruits, candied light caramel. Licorice, vanilla and burnt sugar. Light dark sugarcane juice. Residual taste: Spicy white pepper and vanilla. Deep sweetness from the dried fruits like raisins, prunes and figs, light dried apricots. Dark sugarcane juice. Nicely toasted wood. Just the way I love agricole. The glass: Light solvent and oak. Tasting “At Mr. M Nørregaards residence”

Super cool Agricole to end the day. Has a slight sweetness thanks to candied fruits and vanilla, but is also very roasted and woody. You can especially recognize pepper here. Definitely a cool one.

class Agricole! On the nose, winter spices, candied fruit and vegetal notes. On the palate cedar, tobacco, candied fruit and a slightly peppery background. The finish is long and also has the subtle cedar note

Cool grassy scent and slightly dried barley aroma rise sour and sharp. Quite intense but not overwhelming. Butterscotch or coconut cookie-like aroma lays nutty and heavy underneath. Fresh scents like green grape or apple balance it out. The typical agricole grassy taste is rich. This concentration is the first time since la favorite flibuste, but expressed cooler. Mint, rooibos, oak are delicately unfolded, and a subtle ester scent is also felt, harmonious. Finish: Not strong, moderate grassy scent and spicy, clean. I like the fresh and floral style of depaz.

Warm, strong, balanced. Typical Depaz profile. Dried fruits, spicy, a hint of licorice, wood. Needs some water to drink, otherwise very astringent. Finish a bit short. Overall a very good Depaz, but I like the 2010 (Rumclub, Bar 1802) a bit better.

Rather modest in the nose. After airing very harmonious on the palate: the vegetal side of the profile intertwines excellent with the fruity aspects and wood. The whole continues to reverberate for several minutes.

On the nose it is intense and welcoming with light solvents, milk chocolate, leather, tobacco, wood, vanilla and some citrus. On the palate it is even more intense with various spices (especially pepper), wood, tobacco, some hazelnut and sweet raisin on the persistent finish along with a sour/citrus and alcoholic note (which I also found in other Depaz). Leaves a woody/corky aftertaste and in the empty glass spices, wood and aged notes.
