Review by cigares
A bottle opened for a long time in a bar. A nose with a slightly unpleasant acetone, vanilla, and tropical fruits. The first palate is alcoholic and fruity, then a nice woody bitterness develops. But unfortunately, the acetone is not far off. The finish gives a slightly smoky note that is quite charming. The finale is tainted by acetone at the beginning, then the fruits and wood take over again. Not a bad rum, but not delicious either, the acetone notes being off-putting to my taste.

14 year old Florida rum on French Whisky (the photo is right, the description is wrong). Oak is very present. Overall the rum is quite mild. A bit boring perhaps. I would never have bottled it at 44%. Around 50% would give this more punch. A decent but somewhat forgettable rum. Gets better with some air + time though. The whisky cask comes through at the end.
