The smell reminds me strongly of that sweet cough syrup you got as a kid mixed with light spice notes, some wood, and raisin. Taste-wise I have sweet fruits, but the sweetness quickly yields to spices and a pleasantly subtle bitter aftertaste of wood, while the fruit remains. On the finish then a lasting woody taste mixed with slightly sour, fruity apple. The alcohol is noticeable but not disturbing. I like it very much, a bit more intensity and I'd immediately treat myself to another bottle. But even so, I'm a big fan. Edit: Bottle kill on the weekend. Score correction downwards as I now have significantly more comparison values.
