Aroma visualization from community tastings
Etter Swiss RUM1823
Almost nobody here is sold on this one. The overwhelming note is orange — orange peel, orange candy, on and on — sitting on what tasters call thin, neutral alcohol. One member nailed it as chocolate-orange supermarket sticks; another compared it to cheap triple sec. A little caramel and vanilla show up, but there's barely any rum character underneath the synthetic orange.
- Strong orange note
- Light and easy
- Soft, not hot

How does Etter Swiss RUM1823 taste?
Aggregated from 12 community reviews.
Sweet, artificial orange, barely tastes like rum Most tasters land in the same place: heavy artificial orange over thin, neutral spirit, with almost no rum left. A few note sweetness; nearly all find it more orange liqueur than rum.

Unpleasant artificial orange aroma.

"Seriously, wtf? Etter is a quality distiller but this is just horrible. It only gets some points for some orange aroma. But the rest is neutral alcohol. This feels like a very cheap triple sec. I have no clue in which universe this is acceptable..."
