Almost everyone who's tried this lands in the same happy place — deep, warm cocoa beans, gingerbread, toasted nuts and dried fruit, with a splash of solvent up front and a long roasted finish. Several note a striking gap between a dark, gourmand nose and a silkier, floral palate. One taster wished for a touch more ABV, but at 19 years this Neisson agricole is layered and easygoing.

Tasted from a 3cl sample. Magnificent combination of soft caramel, vanilla, vanilla flower, cooked vanilla. Cooked confectionery sugar based on butter, it's creamy. Subtle spicy notes (cinnamon, clove) and roasted notes (cocoa, coffee, nuts) accompany this excellent combination (caramel, vanilla, butter). Fruity on a homemade infusion bag Bud, dehydrated orange, dried apricot, cherry. 😋 Notes of cherry eau-de-vie, tropical and dried fruits. Lots of polished wood, oak from agricole rum barrel, barley sugar, candied sugar cane, vanilla, complex roasting of premium cocoa, roaster coffee, roasted oilseeds. A bit of polish and green tea mixed with infusion blends. A complex, complete, balanced and layered mouthfeel. A very good agricole rum moment. ⛳ Long, warm, complex, woody. Pleasant roasting of crushed nuts and dark chocolate that lasts a long time. 💡 Alcohol perfectly integrated. 91+ / 100 I need to find a new sample 🤤

We had a nice gathering yesterday with bring your own bottle and this ended up in my Neisson 19 year old going to the grave on a bottle kill. It was popular though and also one of my favourite rums. The nose is well balanced with lovely fruit, caramel, light nuts and a whif of iodine. The palate is just out there. Well balanced and complex with fruits, spices and light chocolate, wood and herbal tea notes. The finish is long and fruity with some tea, wood and a bit of chocolate. This is an expensive rum, but worth every penny :-) Now I need to save up for a new one.

As expected, a great nose. At first plenty of glue and solvents. Wonderful warm cocoa beans, gingerbread and spices. Dried fruits and 'normal' fruits. Warm, complex, deep. I could sniff forever. 😎 In the mouth, it changes several times within a few seconds. Tingling, citrus. Then wood and spice and then that beautiful cocoa. Strong, balanced, great strength. Small sips are enough. Awesome finish. Freshly roasted cocoa beans, spice, gingerbread. As expected, a top performer. Very mature, very deep, very warm, very noble, very easy to drink too... And premium cocoa. ☕️

The nose is a little dark and closed in contrast to the palate, which is really delicious, soft and greedy.

On the nose solvent, citrus, roasted hazelnuts, red fruits, chocolate and forest; The palate is silky, delicate and floral, with red fruits, slightly woody, slightly vanilla and distant roasted hazelnuts. Medium-long finish with added vegetal/litchi. In the empty glass young wood and red fruits. I would have preferred a slightly higher ABV, but degustibus, it remains a delicious and refined gem.

Line Up Neisson. Quite distinct from the 18 tasted elsewhere in this line up. A fairly exceptional intensity on the nose and palate for a 'relatively' low proof. Complex. Gourmand. Magnificent
