The nose is a little dark and closed in contrast to the palate, which is really delicious, soft and greedy.

Very dark. Very nice profile, much darker than its little brother, the 15-year-old from 2004. Chocolate and coffee are very present on the palate, with a hint of red fruit. A great neisson, but I prefer the sunnier, more complex 15yo. I come back to it a year later and it's still a marvel. And it has character and complexity on the palate.

On the nose solvent, citrus, roasted hazelnuts, red fruits, chocolate and forest; The palate is silky, delicate and floral, with red fruits, slightly woody, slightly vanilla and distant roasted hazelnuts. Medium-long finish with added vegetal/litchi. In the empty glass young wood and red fruits. I would have preferred a slightly higher ABV, but degustibus, it remains a delicious and refined gem.

Line Up Neisson. Assez distinct du 18 ans goûté par ailleurs dans ce line up. Une intensité assez exceptionnelle au nez comme en bouche pour un titrage "relativement" bas. Complxe. Gourmand. Magnifique

We had a nice gathering yesterday with bring your own bottle and this ended up in my Neisson 19 year old going to the grave on a bottle kill. It was popular though and also one of my favourite rums. The nose is well balanced with lovely fruit, caramel, light nuts and a whif of iodine. The palate is just out there. Well balanced and complex with fruits, spices and light chocolate, wood and herbal tea notes. The finish is long and fruity with some tea, wood and a bit of chocolate. This is an expensive rum, but worth every penny :-) Now I need to save up for a new one.

Tasted in 3cl samples. Magnificent combination of soft caramel, vanilla, vanilla flower and baked vanilla. Creamy, buttery confectionery sugar. Subtle spicy notes (cinnamon, clove) accompany this excellent combination (caramel, vanilla, butter). Fruity, like a bag of dehydrated orange left to infuse. On the palate, a brief presence of cherry brandy. Finish of pleasant roasted crushed walnuts and dark chocolate. Perfectly integrated alcohol. 91+ I need to find a new sample 🤤
