#4659 17.03.2024 Sitting at home relaxing a bit with some TV series running on the telly 😊 Nose Fresh, minerals, citrus, sugarcane, light mint, light vegetal, faint floral. Palate Round, sugarcane, spicy, medium dry, balanced, light floral, vegetal, citrus. Finish Medium to long, dry, citrus, spicy, light floral. The empty glass has some light nutty and faint rubber notes. I know this rum is meant for mixing but it makes a darn good sipper as well.

Good representative of Martinique white agricultural rums. On the nose, fantastic: it's an explosion of sugarcane, citrus and flower with a bit of pepper, the fruitiness evolves into tropical fruits. These elements are found on the palate, but in a drier and quite peppery way. A rather long finish.

This famous Neisson Bio keeps all its promises in terms of smell and taste. Vegetal and floral notes intermingle with fruit and sugarcane, for an intense, savory aroma. It becomes more complex on the palate, with notes of pepper and lime. The roundness on the palate is very pleasant. The finish continues on a dry, warm note that leaves no one indifferent. An iconic organic rum from Martinique.

The best Agricole blanc I've had to date. Very complex, crisp, fresh. The almond and pastry notes typical of Neisson are easily detectable on the nose.

A delightful white agricole that I rated slightly below the average here. The aroma is a classic - floral and grassy, giving off those fresh and earthy vibes. But what got me was the taste. Rather sweet, with notes of honey, dried fruit (did not expect this note), chocolate, and caramel. This combination creates quite a nice flavor profile, making it a solid and enjoyable sipper.

Very nice white rum. Round with well-integrated alcohol. Agricoles are usually rather beastly, not so this Neisson! Sugar cane, citrus with grass and some metallic notes. Makes a sensational ti-punch! 😊

Another bottle quickly down the hatch. This Neisson Bio is a great success, whether in ti-punch or tasted alone, it does the job perfectly. It is one of my best white agricoles.

For me, there are a lot of floral notes with fruits and the typical sugar cane scent. The taste is complex with many different notes that I can't separate. Sugar cane is definitely one of them.

Nose: very tame, quite fine, much less perfumed than a Clément Canne Bleu 2022 for example. A very fresh scent too. Herbs, lemon, sugarcane. Mouth: the very very good student. It is fine, fresh, complex. The alcohol is remarkably well integrated: you'd give it 10 degrees less. Finish: surprisingly long given its tame character. It leaves us lemon, cane, even a bit of pepper, chili. No astringency. It's not my thing, I'm more rough than that. But I must admit it's very very well made. Better than a Canne Bleue? I don't know. For now yes, but I will gladly revisit Neisson to explore it fully and reserve the right to change my mind. For now, I rate them both 8/10.

Fine and complex nose on fruit and cane. A rum of great smoothness despite the proof. For what it's worth, superior especially on the palate to the Longueteau Constellation drunk the day before with a more indulgent palate even while recognizing its complexity and finesse, maybe its weak point is still that indulgence could be raised another notch and it would be perfect for me. To try in a ti punch. But glug glug ++

03/10/2025: Neisson tasting @ TasTToe. Even more citrus/agrume than Dekolaj! The freshness of this unaged Agricole is beautiful. Alcohol is integrated pretty well. Tasty to sip neat but must be nice in a Ti' Punch as well.

My first white rum. An incredible nose of tropical fruit with a hint of herbs. On the palate, a complex roundness with all the flavors sensed on the nose, a dry, lemony finish with medium length. First tasting of my rum advent calendar, not disappointed at all.
