Blind tasting Nose: reserved/closed, profile-wise Foursquare or Belize, not alcoholic at all, Palate: wow, there's quite a bit of alcohol in there, I estimate just under 60%, definitely not Foursquare or Belize, has a floral note, lots of sweetness, dried fruits, a bit musty again, very round and balanced. I exclude Jamaica and Guyana. The floral note confuses me, I have no idea what's in the glass. Finish typical Foursquare again... I guess Central America, Spanish style, I rarely have this in the glass but this one is really good.

#6260 20.01.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after picking up my wife from work. Nose Round, light wood, light sugarcane, light earthy, light metallic, citrus, clove, light caramel. Palate Round, naturally sweet, light wood, anise, light citrus, light cherry, earthy, light herbs, light caramel, medium peppery. Finish Long, peppery, light caramel, light ginger, cherry. Empty glass Vanilla, caramel, light chocolate, light licorice light nutts.

Nose: slightly alcoholic, reminiscent of calvados. As soon as this has evaporated, the floral-fruity character emerges. Green apple with a dash of lemon, plus a muted sweetness like honeycomb. A light vinegar note comes through, followed by clove and a hidden hint of caraway. Now it also becomes sweeter, burnt sugar. The finish is then slightly woody, tobacco and leather, and still Calvados. Palate: no longer as light as on the nose, fuller, spicier, darker. Bitter, nutty, slightly salty. The sweetness tends towards nougat. Dark chocolate with mocha. But there is also a slightly floral note, perhaps violets. The finish remains bitter with violets and Calvados again. Not bad at all for a Cuban. They're usually always too Spanish, alcoholic and light for me.

strangely sulphurous, metallic and with some cocoa and mocha, subtle grapefruit peel and baked apple notes. plus fleshy umami notes... very unusual and not necessarily my cup of tea...
