Full on the face Hampden but very balanced from pineapple and anise and black cumin. Also some grilled peach and cookie crumbs like a peach crumble. Surprisingly awesome! Really delicious!

Jour 20 du calendrier Samples de Luxe. Regoûté un an et demi après. Whaou ! Le nez explose avec du citron vert, des fruits tropicaux, un peu de vernis et de la colle. Ouch ! La bouche est alcoolique, mais aussitôt les saveurs la tapissent. Colle blanche, raisins au rhum, citron vert encore, vanille et bois. La finale est longue, un peu trop sur la colle pour être parfaite. Les fruits reprennent leurs droits dans le verre vide avec de la compote aux pommes aux épices et à la vanille. Un rhum excellent, puissance et équilibre. Dommage pour sa finale qui lui fait perdre des points.

A rather rough, disparate Hampden. Yet the nose is generous and savory, at once very fruity (banana, pineapple, lime), very phenolic (esters, varnish, solvents, glue) and also pastry-like (butter), with a hint of freshness. Spices, leather and the light influence of the barrel complete the profile. The palate is lively. The alcohol makes itself felt, accompanied by exotic fruits and citrus fruits (lime, grapefruit) which reinforce the feeling of power. Spices and wood tannins are not to be outdone, either, and follow on from the fruit, followed more distantly by pastry notes, leather and olive. A profile with strong sensations, perhaps a little too unbalanced compared to other extreme profiles, which are more controlled. The finish is long, sticking to the teeth with notes of tropical fruit, leather, spices, pastry, phenolic and medicinal notes. There's funk, heaviness and astringency at every turn. However, it's the absolutely unexpected touch of plum and fruit alcohol that stands out. A bestial Hampden profile that needs time to air out and express itself without risking alcoholic discharge.

Oh yes, much better than the Samaroli LROK, the <>H Mark is more mine. Super funky, nice ester tropical fruit notes. I really enjoy it on the palate. The finish could be a little longer, but you can't have everything.

In der Nase ein Hampden durch und durch. Viel Ester, Frucht, Marzipan, Ananas eingebunden in einen bunten Fruchtkorb. Diese Noten bleiben auch im angenehm kräftigen Geschmack. Langer angenehmer Abgang. Insgesamt wunderbarer Jamaika Funk! Toller Rum.

A really great nose, really has everything that makes a good Hampden- fermented and overripe tropical fruit, marzipan, funky, alcoholic, young wood! Surprisingly sweet on the palate, the alcohol content is noticeable, not perfectly integrated but ok, find this surprisingly positive. Great Hampden bouquet, wild, funky, pastry, citrus and caramel again. In the finish it comes spicy, pleasantly woody and fruity! Am pleasantly surprised after the rather "average" reviews!

This was the best of the three and a big surprise. Nice alcohol integration considering the age. The nose is funky and fruity with esters, pastries, caramel and light vanilla, wood and solvents. The palate is funky and fruity with esters, spices, wood and caramel as well as very light grass. The rum draws beautiful curtains in the glass. The finish is long and fruity with wood, and spices. Leave to rest for about 15 minutes before nosing and sipping.

Un nez plein d'esters, sur le bonbon chimique à la fraise et le dissolvant. On trouve aussi de l'ananas et des notes pâtissières. L'alcool pourrait être mieux intégré. La bouche est végétale, sur l'olive. Le boisé est présent avec des fruits tropicaux. On retrouve encore le bonbon chimique à la fraise. Là encore, l'alcool se fait sentir. La finale offre des notes cuir et de chocolat. Le nez est pas mal du tout mais la bouche n'est pas trop à mon goût, c'est bon mais sans plus. Sur le papier c'était celui qui m'attirait le plus mais c'est trop fouilli, le côté extrême ne semble pas maîtrisé

Wirkt bisweilen noch etwas jung und ungestüm, lässt aber schon alles, was ein grosser High-Ester-Vertreter braucht, erkennen. Zunächst herrliche überreife Tropenfrüchte satt, dann süsse Gebäcknoten, etwas Holzeinfluss, Gewürze und abschliessend ein paar mineralische Anklänge. Hätte vielleicht eine noch etwas längere Lagerzeit vertragen können, aber auch im abgefüllten Stadium macht das schon viel Spass. Sehr gut!

Nose: very playfull, very round, sweet fruits, banana, coconut, melon, almonds, unbelievable accessible spirit! Palate: wow. Fantastic stuff! Glue, rubber, solvents, sweet and fermented fruits, pineapple, marmalade, coal, pencil on aftertaste. Cooper metallic aftertaste. Very fruity stuff, very good, much nuts on aftertaste. High quality.

le H a un nez dédiés à ceux qui aiment les notes caractéristiques et envoutantes des High Esters (vernis-solvants). Le Baklava est dans le nez avec ses amandes, son miel … et fruité sur la banane, orange, ananas. Le nez est assez dingue. En bouche on a des notes de solvants, de vernis, d’épices de fruits sur mûris. Du High Ester Jamaïcain en soit ! Mais il manque clairement de gourmandise. On a une belle longueur en bouche sur les épices et le cuir. Un peu déçu par le manque de plaisir en bouche de ce <>H car je me remémore en parlant de <>H du Warren Khong de Velier.
