Nice funky and salty apple Hampden! Very harmonious. Has something of the green Haribo apple rings only in liquid Jamaica funk form. I think it's awesome! 😄🍏 Also fruity for once, a slightly different style than usual

All in all a solid LROK. The brand is not my favorite but occasionally for easy sipping in between quite okay. I just miss the certain funk here. Conclusion good, but unfortunately not good enough for a higher rating.

Day 4 of the Samples de Luxe calendar. Re-tasted one and a half years later. An obvious Jamaican nose, rum-soaked raisins, concentrated Jamaican ice! But also marzipan and citrus. Palate with alcohol but integrated, funky aromas held back. Even more present citrus (kumquats). A rum less demonstrative than others, but balanced and tasty. A long and rich finish but not very complex. Definitely, and unlike many, I really like the LROK mark. You feel like you're at the beach with a tropical fruit punch.

Ja dies ist ein Hampden, latürnich. Danke an Obelix für diese Ausdrucksweise. Typischer Hampden mit vielen tropischen Früchten, ja genau, Banane und Ananas, ansonsten noch ne Runde Klebstoff. Sehr lecker.

Solid overall. On the palate with a slightly too dominant alcoholic impact, which only flashes briefly but is still recognizable. Even apart from that, this bottling is unfortunately not able to convince me of the LROK marque. Although the wood, spice and sweet notes emerge somewhat more clearly alongside the tropical fruit, I am more at home with the more brute esters in terms of taste and therefore miss the fireworks of the overripe fruit.

Der zweite der Trilogie: Sehr komplexer und vielschichtiger LROK, der wie Philipp bereits angemerkt hat nach süß-sauren Apfelringen schmeckt. Neben den ganzen Früchten etwas Rauch, Kräuter und Karamell im Gaumen. Für mich ein netter easy Sipper, wobei der Preis am Ende wieder dagegen spricht

Caramel, tropical fruit basket with lots of pineapple and marzipan flow into the nose. Very buttery low ester taste, but the alcohol is very well integrated. Light Jamaica style.

Finally back home in Denmark after a nice extended weekend in Rostock. Here is the final evening out where we started with the Samaroli Hampden Trilogy. The nose is fruity with esters, floral, vanilla ad caramel as well as light leather and tobacco notes. The palate is also fruity with esters and smoky wood, spice and leather as well as light solvent flavour. The finish is long and warming with wood, mango, caramel and a light nuttyness. This rum needs to rest for a while or the alcohol will disturb the nose and palate. Once rested it's a lovely release.

Le nez et la bouche sont gourmands avec un bel ananas caramelisé. Au nez on trouve aussi des notes florales, de fruits jaunes, de la poire et de massepain. La bouche est lourde, avec des esters légers. L'alcool n'est pas très bien intégrée. La finale est sur le cuir. Ça manque de texture, la finale est courte mais on ne passe pas un mauvais moment. Mis à côté du LROK officiel, c'est moins bon.

J’aime bien ce type de mark (Lrok) Il manque un petit peu de funky et d’esters Mais c’est plutôt bon De belles notes d’ananas, de cuir, un peu de caramel, un peu de solvant.. Bien le laisser s’aérer avant de le déguster car sinon on ressent une petite note alcoolique. Bel embouteillage dans l’ensemble

Vergleich LROK vs HLCF vs <>H: Nase: Zunächst sehr viel Karamell und etwas alkoholisch. Dann immer fruchtiger mit überreifer Ananas. Später gesellen sich weitere (gelbe) Früchte hinzu die immer doninanter werden, was ich als nette Abwechslung empfinde. Hierdurch unterscheidet sich die Nase deutlich von den anderen beiden. Zudem leichte Ester und Klebstoffnoten. Erster Gedanke: Gefällt mir von den dreien am wenigsten ist aber dennoch interessant. Aber: wird mit der Zeit deutlich besser. Geschmack: ziemlich rauchig. Erinnert mich dadurch etwas an eine Mischung aus Whisky und Rum. Zudem Ester und Fruchtnoten. Alkohol deutlich erkennbar. Das rauchige überdeckt mir zu viel von den anderen Noten. Nicht so meins. Wird aber zum Glück mit der Zeit etwas besser. Interessante Nase. Geschmacklich nicht meins. Für mich der schwächste aus der Reihe. Brauche ich nicht nochmal.

The LROK is very fine and fresh on the nose, it is rather floral in addition to the typical markers of Hampden.In the mouth it is powerful and funky as you like. It's heavy on tropical fruits and has a nice length on spices and some empyreumatic notes. It starts strong for the youngest and wisest of the bunch!

... Hampden, legendary Jamaican distillery that besides rum also produces alcohol for perfumes. In all rums from this distillery you can feel wild esters, after which your whole body soaks in the scent of yellow tropical fruits - mango, papaya, pineapple, peach. One of the rums you "must try before you die"

For me the least successful of the trilogy, even if very interesting. The mouth is very powerful, with nice fruit notes, but a little too much leather. The nose is below the HLCF for me. The finish is much longer than the other two, which is a positive point.

Marzipan, Birne, Trockene Früchte. Funky Aroma, schon komplex mit langem Abgang. Kann man auch chr. gut, Sippen aber etwas zu teuer in meinen Augen, da gibt es günstigere Alternativen die mehr bieten
