Opinions land in a friendly middle: most people enjoy this classic TDL for its minty, fruity character, but a recurring gripe is that 45% leaves it thin and a touch quiet. Expect eucalyptus and menthol, red fruit and mango, buttery caramel and a little grapefruit. One taster nailed the fun part: "petroly mangos on the palate." Pleasant and easy, just not the intense TDL some hoped for.

I can't get enough of this bottling. An aromatic bomb on the nose, finish and retro olfaction. No bitterness, just pleasure. The only downside is a slightly timid attack on the palate.

Most helpful mixed review
Mild TDL, noticeably influenced by the dilution. Light fruit on the nose, some vanilla and a hint of glue, rather restrained overall. Soft and round on the palate with gentle notes of wood, spice and subtle fruit sweetness, but without the depth and tension that characterize many stronger TDLs. A pleasant, uncomplicated sipper, but clearly on the mild side.

Low scoring so far but this is very nice in my opinion. Would be better at high strength but love the petroly mangos on the palate.

Very, very nice round and digestible TDL that offers even more fruity facets but still doesn't completely lose the characteristic mint :) great! plus some ginger and chamomile, as well as slightly medicinal notes. somehow also reminds me of the green apple rings from the past, just not sweet 😅

Pleasant, round and complex TDL, just unfortunately very thin. On the nose besides the classic mint and spices, there's the less usual ginger and later a bit of dirt. On the palate, first come citrus fruits, then spices, and finally it fades completely into nothing. Unfortunately.

Superb nose that starts with a very indulgent butter caramel then opens up to tropical fruits and citrus mixed with some spices like cardamom. When you dip your nose into the glass, this rum gets a bit more "dirty." Grapefruit is the first note on the palate, very pleasant. The juice is syrupy, caramel is well present as well as spices and dominant citrus notes. Quite a long finish on citrus and spices then eucalyptus takes over with a beautiful freshness.

At first the nose is very closed. It's hard to identify aromas. After a bit of opening, a mix of after eight chocolate and mint. But it remains a very light nose. On the palate it's much more substantial with a strong mint presence and a little fruity side but too dominated by mint for me. I have a full bottle, I'll have the chance to revisit it and possibly re-rate it but for now not convinced. Too unilateral menthol side for me. Update: bottle almost finished, my palate may have evolved, and the rum too, I think I may have been a bit harsh with this rum +0.3, the nose although light is no longer so inexpressive, and the palate has gained complexity.
