Retasting and I stick to my older score. Very popular among the other tasters and the story of how it came to be was really cool. ----- Old tasting note below ----- I do like a navy rum and this is a nice blend actually. Stille doesn't beat my favourite Black Tot 50th and Master Blander edition. Medium heavy navy rum with oak and spices. Nice warm and spicy on the palate. There is a hint of smoke and solvents, but the overall balance is pretty good actually. Price to quality is very good.

Tastes very Jamaica forward to me - tasting the acidity or the citrus fruits and the banana notes come right through (Nose, Palate, Finish). The other usual notes of glue and some herbaceous notes on the nose but not much else Banana just dominates for me - yes there’s the aforementioned acidity and/or citrus notes and possibly a hint of peppery spice but it feels like the Jamaican element just utterly dominates to me personally Not really getting much else from it…. Nice enough however I’ve had better

Intense nose with a beautiful mixture of nut, roastiness, glue and menthol. Surprisingly round and mild on the palate with a great sweetness. Balanced and delicious navy blend! I like it very much.

Timpa recommended this bottle to me as I’ve looked for something with a similar taste profile. It’s not up there with the Tot 50th, but still really enjoyable and I bump it one more point now with the second tasting. 3rd tasting and 27 celsius on my balcony bumps it yet another point. 4th, it needs to be heated a bit now when in the September cold, but still really nice. Halfway through the bottle and it stays. Still needs a warm hand though. - Many tastings in and I like the fact of the alcohol punch comes a bit delayed.

Franconian Tasting Gang on 23.11.24 at Jarek. Not only the label is once again very nice, but also the contents of the bottle. An effortless navy blend, which in my opinion is very successful. Not really challenging, but the individual components are still easy to recognize. A nice sipper for in between.

Delicious navy blend. PM proportion directly perceptible on the nose and very convincing there. On the palate, unfortunately, it drops off a little and is somewhat rough. But overall very drinkable and better than expected.

A somewhat unbalanced Navy Rum. The nose is nevertheless attractive, with notes of menthol, tea and eucalyptus that combine with woody, spicy and fruity aromas to form a rather coherent whole. On the palate, the rum is much lighter and less aromatic. From the blend, Barbados and Guyana predominate. The profile is darker and greedier, but loses complexity and depth on the palate. The rum is oily and particularly approachable, with toasty, woody, spicy, caramelized, slightly fruity and cocoa flavors. The degree of navy proof is unsuspected. The moderately long finish is reminiscent of Guyana, with its bitterness, herbs, spices and earthiness. A rum that lacks homogeneity and character. It's a pity that the influence of Trinidad and Jamaica is only sketchy, as these terroirs could have changed the profile radically.

Schöner Romdeluxe. Auf jeden Fall sehr frisch, viel Minze und Menthol in der Nase, außerdem etwas Vanille und Eiche. Am Gaumen dann auch relativ viel Vanille und Karamell, außerdem auch etwas würzig und nussig.

Hmm ... 🤔 Don't really warm up to this Navy. It doesn't seem balanced or, as they say on the coast, not like him and not like her. Also, even though it's nice and long, it's too bitter on the finish for me. There are clearly better Navys. But at least on the nose it can keep up, depending on the day, great sweetness.

The Navyblend from Romdeluxe is easy to drink with a pleasant sweetness on the palate and clearly more bitter notes in the finish. But the release is not particularly complex and the individual components are not particularly well balanced.

Franconian Tasting Gang - 23.11.2024: A nice Navy Blend, no rough edges, quite balanced and easy to drink. The Guyana profile (PM) is in the foreground. The nose promises a bit more than the palate delivers, but overall OK.

An amazing navy rum; a very smooth 57.18% ABV, and well blended. A vanilla scent in the nose, together with tropical fruits and some oak. I found notes of coconut, vanilla and some funky, diesel-like taste

Belle découverte ! Au nez très axé sur le caramel et le Guyana mais en bouche plus complexe, chaud, pimenté, un peu de menthol, des agrumes du réglisse, on se fait plaisir et l’expérience est renouvelée à chaque gorgée.

This is clearly the better Navy Rum from the Collectors series... a beautiful fruity nose, strong woody toasty palate with later berry fruit! In the finish also a berry fruit predominates ! Successful!

The smell reminds me of Jamaica, the taste is also present, but I smell more of Guyana. The finish is warm, like a proper maritime rum. Definitely an interesting rum, I'd love to taste it again or buy a bottle sometime.

Un délice olfactif et gustatif, nez médicinal et patissier à la fois. Bouche gourmande, fraiche et fruitée. Une finale melant le caramel et le menthol très très agréable. A aucun moment on ne sent le taux d'alcool qui sert uniquement à donner à ce jus tous ses arômes.

An attractive nose with smoke and the typical Guyana distillate standing out. Mouth a bit unbalanced on the Guyana and the typical distillate. Didn't find the other two components of this blend. An average finish. Nice but not crazy.

Initially more spirit than flavor. Doesn't seem to linger long in the mouth. Alc% helps it to a rating of 6 but honestly I don't think it deserves more.
