"Terribly gourmand on the nose," as one taster put it — fresh sugarcane, ripe tropical fruit and lime, then a rounder palate that turns peppery with anise and licorice on the way out. Several call it oily, fresh and medium-dry, with a light mineral, faintly salty edge. At 48% it has real power without ever tasting hot. A natural for sipping neat or in a ti punch.

Fresh, peppery cane-juice agricole blanc Well-liked white agricole — bright cane, lime and a peppery, licorice finish. A couple of tasters preferred the 2019 vintage, but this one still lands as juicy and well-made.

Nose: Sweet cane, ripe exotic fruits and lime. Taste: Round, with notes of aniseed/ liquorice before moving on to cane and peppery spices. The nose is terribly gourmand, as I like it with blue cane, and on the palate it's spicier. On the other hand, I preferred the 2019 vintage to this 2020 version, even though it's still a great success.

Agricole blanc a little above standard at a nice price. Tasted after l'âme de la montagne, which I really liked. The cuvée Papao made less of an impression on me, but is still of fine quality. Perfect for a ti punch.

This is more similar to the Cuvee de la Montagne than the Alizés Blanc. However, it has a little more power, but the alcohol is a little more noticeable. Nevertheless, it is by no means fizzy. Lime, sugar cane and sweetness on the nose. Refreshing, juicy, aniseed and licorice notes on the finish.
