Classic old Demerara profile, dried plum meets wood, leather and tobacco. A little charred and therefore scratchy, but if you like the heavy, complex aromas of old Guyana bottlings, you'll be right at home here. Great profile, it lacks a little expressiveness in direct comparison with other great Demeraras of the decade

Klassischer Demerara mit dunklem, eher trockenem Profil. In der Nase Trockenfrüchte, etwas Melasse, Holz und eine leichte Ledernote. Am Gaumen würzig und geprägt von Eiche, dazu Tabak und eine herbe, leicht angebrannte Note. Wirkt etwas kantig und nicht ganz rund, zeigt aber klar den typischen Guyana Charakter.

Nice, classic Demerara profile. For my taste, however, already a bit too bitter, the low ABV doesn’t help either. For the price, there are many much better bottlings.

Could well be a 74. Nice plums on the nose, quite a lot of burnt notes on the palate, wood, caramel, little sweetness. Unfortunately a little thin. I still have to compare it with other 74s.

Decent Demerara rum, combination of wood, roasted nuts, plums, tobacco and caffee. Little bit flat, less depth, higher ABV would help but overall excellent rum

For me definitely already a 9+. The rusty notes are very pleasantly combined. Wood, leather, some fruits, all a bit smoky. A slight plum sweetness softens everything a bit and gives it a rounded impression. Too bad it only has 46%, so the finish is a bit shorter than expected.
