Recommendation from the bartender. I probably wouldn't have chosen it myself, as LROK was not my favorite brand so far. Good thing I was convinced. Absolute top Hampden. Awesome esters, 10 years tropical aging, excellent balance, a nose to fall in love with. Everything you want is there. Exquisite! Edit: I still find it very exciting and great. Not classic Hampden but a nice complexity.

... Hampden, the legendary Jamaican distillery that besides rum also produces alcohol for perfumes. In all rums from this distillery, you can smell wild esters, after which your whole body soaks up the scent of yellow tropical fruits - mango, papaya, pineapple, peach. One of the rums you "must try before you die".

26.06.2021 Sitting at home enjoying a few samples. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Intense, fresh, light wood, ester, fruity, banana, light glue. Palate Intense, warm, light wood, banana, ester, overripe, faint smoke, faint chocolate. Finish Long and warm, light wood, faint smoke, light citrus, faint chocolate, spice.
