Beautifully sweet, creamy, like caramel. Great choice for rum lovers who want to transition from sweet syrups to pure distillate. New Yarmouth 1994 rarely disappoints. This is a great choice you'll always be happy to return to.

#6131 26.12.2025 Second day after Christmas and my stomach is finally back to normal, more or less. Time for some nice EDM to blast out in my office while the wife watches Friends...... Nose Fresh, medium intense, fruity, cherry, light wood, berries, faint caramel, light nutts. Palate Peppery, medium intense, light wood, berries, light caramel, pineapple, light chocolate. Finish Long and warm, light wood, faint smoke, cherry, light nutts, spice. Empty glass Fruit cake, vanilla, light chocolate, light mint, faint licorice.

My first New Yarmouth. My friend told me about this rum and he was 100% right. This is top rum from Rum Shark (series 1). Aroma is very woody, buttery/creamy with combination of chocolate. I noticed combination of fruit and technical scent. Taste is again very woody. I noticed chocolate flavor, spice and creamy flavor. This rum in a way reminds me Blue Ocean Caroni from RS, but this New Yarmouth has that funky vibe which I love in Jamaican rums. Finish is long with bitter, spice and wood flavour. I was surprised with 69% ABV but you will not feel that at all. Great, great rum. To be honest I decided to re-write my opinion and this one is the best sample I have had… yet. Need another sample to try.

This piece from the New Yarmouth distillery is one of the best rums I've ever had! And it's absolutely the best RumShark. The 1994 vintage is legendary. Beautiful mahogany color, woody taste complemented by caramel, tropical fruit, and a long finish. 69% is not noticeable.
