The nose is the showstopper here — a proper fruit salad of sour cherry, red berries and green apple with caramel behind it. The catch several tasters flag: the palate doesn't quite keep the promise, turning spicy and a touch sharp for 45%, with pepper and young wood taking over. Long banana-and-vanilla finish, though. 13.04.2026 Retasting and still a pretty decent rum. ------- 18.02.2023 Relaxing at home with some samples. Colour Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, light apple, faint floral, light wine, light berries, faint caramel. Palate Light, round, light wood, light cherry, faint caramel, light apple, light Madeira, light sweet, faint floral. Finish Medium long, round, light wood, faint smoke, light apple, spice, light cherry.

This rum has a very fruity nose with caramel and vanilla notes. The palate really speaks to the casks that is aged in, I get bourbon and fortified wine. The finish is long and pleasant as it dissipates into a banana the varies in ripeness.

The nose promises here clearly more than the rum can offer on the palate. There I find him on a high level. Something raspberry syrup I perceive. Very broad fruity aroma profile. Great. Not much left of it on the palate, unfortunately. It seems but strongly diluted and little coherent.

The nose is the best thing about this rum. On the palate I find it unbalanced, too spicy and sharp despite only 45%. However, the finish is a little better because it has intense vanilla, toffee and banana.

Very round, easy drinking rum, but despite the drinking strength does not lack complexity. The spicy-fresh WP profile is well complemented by the dried fruit. Successful experiment.

The nose fruity (!), a true fruit salad, when tasting driver change and the spicy notes around the cask and pepper take the wheel. At the back comes the green apple, which you smelled but almost forgot after the sip, suddenly back again. Really good, this rum.

Not a particularly good bottling if we're being honest. Difficult to identify if you taste it blind. The apple note is omnipresent. But a very strong spiciness against which the Jamaican profile and the fruitiness can't quite assert themselves anymore.

Rum that feels quite mature. When you smell it, you sense sweetness, a bit of caramel and fruit, but it’s not sticky. On the palate, it’s nicely balanced – a sweet and pleasant start, then spices and a light dryness come through, which pulls it all together nicely. It’s neither heavy nor boring, more like a “serious” Jamaican that you sip slowly and it always has something to offer.

Solid fruity WP, on the nose at least. Nose is very promising, very juicy. I especially like (my favourite in any rum) the apple notes. But the taste just can't keep up although the fruit is there....
