21.07.2025 Retasting and it's still a pretty decent release. --------------- This one I'd expected to be kind of a bomb, but it surprised me with a sweet and fruity nose once rested. A very nice balance between the elements and of course the ABV will bite a little, but it's actually far less than you'd expect. Very good balance overall and I get a light nutty flavour in the empty glass.

Phew, the vegetal notes are really not my thing. But the 72.3% is totally okay, quite drinkable.

I find this Longueteau a notch better than the previous one. Vanilla and sugarcane are clearly recognizable on the nose, also some wood. On the palate, besides the wood, quite spicy again, vanilla again, but also nutmeg and pepper.

In the line of the Genesis range, this amber Longueteau shows phenomenal power. The heat of alcohol and spices promises a powerful nose, with young wood, grass and sugarcane, but above all a good basket of fruits ranging from dried apricot to plum, passing through orange zest and exotic fruits. An aromatic and intense profile. The attack on the palate is fierce, with the same alcoholic punch. Nutmeg and cinnamon combine with lime and prune for a breakthrough in a very dry profile. Sugarcane and floral notes complete an intense and well-carved attack. The finish is very long and persistent on citrus (lime, orange) and lightly spiced wood, before tannins and vegetal notes bring astringency and bitterness at the end of the mouth. A beautiful interpretation of rum which is still young enough to have sugarcane notes, but also mature enough to have the start of barrel aging notes.

on the nose quite clearly directly young wood, solvent, some apricot, pear, fig and baked apple but also somewhat alcoholic.Taste then unfortunately a little too woody for me personally although there are only 2y, very dry and spicy with notes of prune, fruit bread, red pepper and pear compote, in the finish dominate then clearly tannins and slightly bitter barrel notes but also something sweet vanilla pear compote with cinnamon, which rounds him off again something.overall an exciting full proof Agricole, but the unripe is here clearly for me the favorite.
