Green fruit and mirabelle plum lead here — acidic and complex rather than pastry-sweet, with pear, honey and a woody, nutmeg-spiced backbone. This is young Bielle at 54%: fresh, intense, and openly showing its age in a good way. One member calls it "jung, frisch, intensiv" and that's the whole picture. The finish leans on mango and the bitterness of the oak, which makes it long but drier than you'd expect.

Tasting at J. B. Labat. A very fruity nose but more on the acidity than on the pastry side, green fruits. A little hollow on the palate, then the fruits arrive. Fruits rather acidic but complex. The finish is beautiful, on the fruits (especially mango) and on the bitterness of the wood. In direct comparison with the new 4 years (RX18241), this profile is more focused on the acidity of the fruits and the bitterness of the wood, which makes it longer on the finish but clearly less indulgent on the palate.

Classic Bielle. If you like it, you like it. You can tell its young age in a positive way. It's young, fresh but also substantial. The higher volumes are certainly decisive here. It will still not be my favorite profile.

Sitting at home relaxing with a lot of remaining Cave Guildive samples, so why not try a few of them. This one is pretty OK. The nose has very light wood and is soft and fresh at the same time. Lovely fruits with vanilla and sugarcane. The palate live up to the nose with light wood and chocolate. Once again fruits and spices mix very well with notes of sugarcane. The finish is medium long with spices and sugarcane and a hint of wood.
