14.02.2023 Relaxing at home with a few samples. Colour Medium dark in colour. Nose Round, sweet, light wood, sugarcane, vanilla, faint caramel, light vegetal, faint chocolate. Palate Balanced, velvety, light wood, light, naturally sweet, sugarcane, faint honey, vanilla, light chocolate, faint leather. Finish Medium long, light wood, velvety, naturally sweet, sugarcane, light chocolate, spice, faint leather, light orange. I'm still amazed at the level of balance this destillery can produce. Would have loved to try it at a higher ABV.

Was really excited about this release because I was convinced by the Rosa Bus from LMDW that I got to try from Jakob. Unfortunately, this one doesn't reach that level; I find the alcohol isn't perfectly integrated on the palate. Still, thanks to Serge for the split.

Very tasty spicy nose with lots of hazelnut caramel nougat, some green apple and roasted aromas. Mouthfeel oily and full-bodied. Also lots of hazelnut, vanilla nougat, some leather and slight apple orange. Alcohol on the nose good, on the palate not quite so well integrated.

Very tasty. But compared to the Rosa Bus from LMDW / Velier, besides the higher alcohol content, the exotic fruit notes are missing here. Here sugarcane, wood, nuts, nougat, leather and chocolate dominate.

This Neisson was first aged 7 years in Cognac casks and then finished 2 years in bourbon casks. On the nose: Interesting notes. Nutty, hazelnuts with sugarcane as main note. Light woody, light vanilla and hints of leather notes in the background. Taste: Oily, woody and nougat notes at first. Then palate chances and you get nice hazelnut notes and roasted nuts with little bit of chocolate in there. Good balance of natural sweetness. Abv is integrated perfectly. Finish: Little bit of herbal notes. Woody notes. Light sugarcane notes. Light nougat and hazelnut notes. Quite long finish. Another very good example of the Neisson distillerys range and skills. I think this is fantastic rum and i wish i had a bottle of this rum.

Beautiful old vintage Agricole from Neisson! The 48% is perfectly integrated and feels extremely full-bodied, yet heavy and oily without being tiring. Aromatically, both fruity and spicy notes come through. Specifically: pear, green and yellow apple, as well as fresh sugarcane, nougat hazelnut cream, roasted dark nuts, toasted sourdough bread with cinnamon and orange marmalade and roasted hazelnuts, plus very subtle floral herbal notes on the finish. Overall, it doesn't quite reach the 2015 Chai Tatanka but the level is still really high! Thanks to Serge!🤌🏼❣️

Today a small Agricole cross-tasting: Interesting... Clearly an Agricole on the nose and palate, but right behind it hides a sweet hazelnut spirit. A very tasty mix. Despite only 48% it comes across very powerful. I like it very much.
