A beautiful Agricole with a great, creamy mouthfeel. Harmonious profile of wood, floral tones and Agricole touch. A major drawback for lovers of cask strength is the ABV. It simply lacks punch and intensity, which significantly lowers the rating. This would certainly be a great rum in cask strength.

8,8:On the nose, the first impression we get is a grassy, herbaceous and flowery sugarcane honey with dried fruits and spicy wood with vanilla, anise. On aeration, it becomes slightly smoky, earthy with tobacco, the fruits are citrus, berries and mango, tannins show in the end. 8,5:On the palate, the attack is green, mild with grassy, flowery and herbaceous sugar cane, fruity with citrus and dried fruits, as the wood is slightly toasted, smoky with pastry and caramel, spicy with pepper, anise and vanilla, full-bodied.When the rum is oxidized, tropical fruits like mango arise and more vegetal aspect of cane. 8,6:The finish is long, dry and tannic, balanced with dried, tropical fruits pairing slightly roasted wood notes with dark chocolate, confectionery, spicy and sugarcane honey with tobacco, grassy and flowery.. I have just tasted a Caroni with over 60% and have to say that the La Mauny with its 43% has an amazing amount of power. Super balanced and full-bodied. Those who like agricoles will not be disappointed here and it is also a piece of history. There are certainly cheaper alternatives in terms of price and performance.
