09.02.2024 Nordlichter treffen. Retasting and I stick to the score. ----------- This is a very nice and fruity rum. The price tag is really good as well. The Agricole notes are there but more in the background, where the wood and dried fruit is in front. The empty glass is really nice after a while.

Insanely great nose, super fresh and floral then full of fruit, especially orange and aniseed. In the mouth less floral, more spicy, coffee, wood and walnut? The finish is fruity again with fresh floral notes. For the alcohol content, a beautifully versatile taste experience. PLV also top!

A beautiful three-river structure. On the nose, incredibly pleasant European fruit, in particular an apple that feels like it's in your hand, and on the palate, dry fruit and very well worked oak.

8,4:On the nose, spicy wood with nutmeg, cinnamon, nuts, gingerbread, sugar cane, grassy, flowery, fruits like apple, grapes, orange, dried fruits, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, yellow fruits and prunes are out, slightly roasted wood notes with cappuccino, milk chocolate, butterscotch and spicy vanilla. 8,5:On the palate, the attack is juicy with sugar cane, flowery, peppery, fruity with dried fruits like raisins and apricots, perhaps yellow fruits, banana, some of them are candied on oxidation apple and prunes, as the wood is roasted with caramelized brown sugar, nuts, coffee and leather, spicy with cinnamon, vanilla, delicious and balanced. 8,4:The finish is long, round, dry, warm with toasted wood notes like nuts, dark chocolate, pastry, gingerbread, butterscotch, leather, spicy vanilla, baking spices, pairing fresh(tea), flowery and mineral, peppery sugar cane, various fruits like apple, raisins and raspberries. MaJ: Des pommes et des fruits secs domine ce rhum. Au premier dégustation j’ai commis l’erreur de chercher des fruits tropicaux mais les fruits présent sont distinctement Européen. Un vrai plaisir, meilleur que je l’ai trouvé la première fois. A very good rhum agricole. The bottle promises that cellar master Daniel Baudin has managed to combine the best of both strength and delicacy of flavor in his mix of 3 different millesimes, and indeed the bottle does deliver on that. Also a fantastic value at the price this is sold for. A true sipping agricole with an outstanding length to the after taste. This has been aged in bourbon barrels and brand new oak barrels and the aging creates something quite reminiscent to a very good cognac. Recommended as an affordable sipping agricole.

That's on my dad. Dead for 2.5 years, but still unforgettable :-( Delicious Agricole anyway. Very woody on the nose. On the palate there is also sugar cane and some vanilla. In any case, a very successful rum :-)

Notes of wood, tobacco, cork, leather and dried fruits, with a short, silky, rounded finish, lets you appreciate sip after sip on a tropical beach -------------- Re-tasted after a few years, the 9.3 is by no means reconfirmed, on the current palate it is about an 8.5, but I will still leave the first rating, because that flavor I first heard I still remember and it was magnificent (whether it was because of the bottle getting a lot of exposed air in the bar on a beach in the tropics or the overall context), albeit very different from what I currently perceive. However, it is not a matter of the rating or body of the rum, but of a dry aromatic hint that I love, which I no longer find and is absent. (It must also be said that Trois Rivieres are among the most volatile and changeable tasting rhums I have encountered.) I had also re-tasted it with rhumattitude a few months later along with RX226 , reconfirming the same flavor and even rating them on par (in fact it too and the Cuvée Saint-Pierre re-tasted have a lower rating). PS: at this point I wouldn't know if the difference is from the evolving palate, the different batch or the oxidation process 🤷♂️ I will have to do a vertical tasting with closed bottles to know.

A very good agricole rum. Quite fruity on the nose, on the palate the fresh and woody notes take over. I haven't tasted the previous ones but this blend of three vintages is successful, the alcohol is well integrated as well.

This Trois Rivières unfortunately loses some of the complexity of its predecessor (1999-2000-2010), with woody, vanilla notes taking over from the fruity side. The palate is softer, less marked and less expressive. The same aromas return at the end of the mouth, but without creating a "coup de foudre". However, the quality/price ratio remains very good.

Nordlichter Treffen, danke w00tan Schöne Nase die nicht mit dem agricole Noten überfordert sondern das ganze mit orange und Lebkuchen einfängt. Im Mund angenehm nussig, etwas Apfel und eine schöne süße. Hinten raus wird’s dann etwas röstiger, aber die Nuss bleibt.

An old one in my range, with substance and return, enough to reconcile me with Trois Rivières. Also the price is very reasonable for this blend, I will try to acquire this rum discovered through the 2022 advent calendar. Nose: gourmand and sweet with vanilla Palate: very good, caramel, old wood, licorice. Good full length, a classic premium, nice. The man with the stroller: 1st nose: The most fruity and exotic so far. The balance is created between passion fruit and pineapple (and their acidity) and the spicy wood (and its depth). Maybe it lacks a bit of body though. 2nd nose: Passion fruit confirms its place and is joined by dried fruits. The wood and spices do not move an inch but these two facets blend beautifully. Palate: The alcohol is well dosed, however, the fruits disappear leaving room for wood and spices, including pepper. The sensation is a bit drying, even astringent. Finish: Tannic, it grabs the taste buds and won't let them go anytime soon. The nose promised a much fruitier tasting experience, unfortunately, that was not the case.

향 : 달콤한 향이 강한 바나나 망고류의 열대과일과 적당한 에스테르, 달게 조린 청포도 향이 난다. 오크도 분명하고 약간의 바닐라도 있다. 맛 : 싱글몰트 위스키를 연상시킨다. 오크 노트가 강하지만, 에스테르 향이 가미되어서 럼의 정체성이 드러난다. 부드럽다. 전반적인 뉘앙스가 건조한 편인데, 부드러운 질감 때문에 약간의 느끼한 것 같이 느껴진다. 목넘김 : 역시 부드럽고, 잔디깎을때 나는 풀 향이 목을 넘기는 순간에 잠깐 느껴진다. 넘긴 후의 잔향에서는 고무장갑, 옅은 페인트, 잡다한 꽃 등이 있고 태우지 않은 나무껍질이라던지, 흙 따위도 있다.

On the nose, you find the classic markers of Martinique. The palate is indulgent and pleasant. The finish maybe lacks a bit of texture and length. Great value for money.

I ordered this triple vintage and they sent me the 2006-2014-2016 edition... Well... so much the better. I just had the chance to taste this vintage. Very good! But in my humble opinion, less so than the next TM. :-)

Nice aroma of gummy candy on the nose. On the palate then pleasantly round, floral-grassy and a slight anise note. Due to the low ABV the finish is quite short but ends nicely. Lovely Agricole!
