Most helpful positive review
A short floral/flowery entry on the palate, followed by the familiar FS profile. In direct comparison with the Doorly's 14yr, the nose here is slightly sweeter overall with more toasted coconut, whereas the Doorly's has a little more spice from the cask. In the end, the PCS is slightly ahead for me, but this does not justify the price difference (as of today). The PLV winner is clearly Doorly's 14!

Foursquare is a distillery from Barbados producing amazing rums for everyday sipping. It's a rum especially appreciated by rum lovers who are fed up with sugar and looking for a smooth, sweet rum full of coconut, vanilla, chocolate and caramel. Simply pleasant and not aggressive flavors.

Soft entry-level FS. But has beautiful depth at the back by the 15 years. Thus also quite bitter, almost already a Tacken too old. But still hits exactly the right point.

Another lovely release where the price matches what you get. Fruity well balanced with spice and roasted wood. Nice curtains and the empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some chocolate and light coffee.

Private bottle for www.zeewijck.nl. Original price 79 euros. On the nose: typical FS: glue, velpon. Like a grain whisky. A bit acidic. But as always the charm is in the taste not the smell. It packs a lot of nice yet predictable FS flavours. Well balanced. Fruity. Vanilla. The sour note is there but stays in place. Nothing surprising but well aged. 48% is perfect. I don't think it gets much better for it's price.
