How RumX ratings are made

The RumX score is the median of independent community tastings — no editorial grade, no paid reviews, no shop influence. The key rules:

  • A score only appears from the 5th rating — single opinions stay single opinions.
  • The median instead of the average makes outliers and courtesy ratings ineffective.
  • Multi-layer anti-manipulation checks catch suspicious patterns before they reach the score.

The RumX marketplace lets you compare offers from over 40 partner shops; more than 6,200 rums currently carry at least one offer. Ratings stay independent of all this — shops can't buy scores or placements. And after every order we ask buyers about their experience; you'll find those shop ratings on each shop's page.

RumX is run by a team based in Germany and has over 53,000 registered members. The numbers are externally verifiable: public reviews on Google, the App Store and Trustpilot, plus press coverage of the platform.

Through the marketplace: partner shops pay a commission when you buy via RumX, plus a few affiliate programs. That never changes your price — and it has no influence on ratings: the score comes exclusively from the community.

Yes. There are no paid reviews and no sponsored recommendations. The score is the median of independent community tastings, only appears from the fifth rating, and is protected by multi-layer anti-manipulation checks.
