Eine überreife Frucht- und Esterbombe wie ich sie liebe! Von Nase über Gaumen bis Abgang schmeckt man einen tropischen Fruchtsalat mit viel Ananas, Banane und Estern. Im Mund noch leichte Noten von Holz, aber trotzdem schön cremig. Für mich auf einer Stufe mit dem Swell on Tour #8, aber leider mittlerweile teurer

Excellent Hampden with a great smoky bacon note on the finish. The creaminess is reminiscent of the outstanding 1990 vintage. Top bottling!

Swell Masterclass RumX 28.03.2024 Wow was für ein toller Hampden. Wollte damals mir eine Flasche besorgen, war aber leider zu spät dran. Super das es jetzt geklappt ihn endlich probieren zu dürfen. Würde sagen er macht den Nobilis No.14 echt Konkurrenz

Heftig. Timo danke für dieses Brett. An der Nase schon wirklich sehr reifes Obst zu erkennen dazu natürlich drr klassische Ester Geschmack. Ein Richtig geiler Hampden Blend. Zwar sehr jung aber dafür richtig lecker.

Der hat mir schon auf dem GRF 2023 mega gut gefallen. Da hatte ich allerdings schon einen langen Tag hinter mir. Anscheinend waren meine Geschmacksnerven vom Velier Tasting nicht zu sehr verwirrt. Absolut schöne Abfüllung. Noch etwas nach oben korrigiert

28.03.2024 Retasting at Swell de Spirits Masterclass and I stick to my score. Won a few points 😊 ------------------------ #4069 Thanks to a good friend I got these nice Swell de Spirits and they perform pretty well. This is the last of the samples and also a great one. Intense and fruity, one might say dirty as well. Great balance between the elements and I like the rubber note in the back. The empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some herbs and nutts.

Last one of the Jamaican collector ticket at SDR23. I really liked and wanted to buy a bottle, but it was no langer acvailable at that moment 🤷♂️ Dame Jeanne 4L n° 2/5. Forgot to take a picture of the beautiful big bottle ☹️

Nez : paf high ester & haribo à la fraise ? Vieille foret humide. Huileux direct. Beurre ? Bouche : franchement alcool quasi neutre, un peu de saumure légère, bcp de fraise, de beurre, d’huile… 9 ans j’aurai jamais deviné. C’est ouf. Le funk est vraiment la, un peu sale, ca kick un peu. Finale un peu courte peut être pour un 9? Il mérite quand même je pense.

Swell de Spirits has taken great care with this Hampden, and the result shows. Very exuberant, the nose generously reveals overripe exotic fruits, phenolic notes that are very well integrated, but also that fermented, vinegary and buttery side quite typical of the mark <>H. A very solid aromatic profile. The attack on the palate is both intense and very round. You feel the heaviness of the Jamaican profile, but also a creaminess that makes it very approachable. Amidst the fruit and esters, hints of olives complete the aromatic palette. The alcohol is perfectly integrated. The finish is very long and very dry, especially with the tannins. Spices, wood and floral aromas join the festivities to embellish the final bouquet. A rum that excels in its field, with an incredible price/quality ratio. Unfortunately, the New Yarmouth cask finish doesn't add any particular value.

Swell de Spirits liefert wieder ab! Der macht richtig Bock. Total funky,Viele Ester, viele tropische und teils vergoreneFrüchte (besonders Ananas), adstringent, der Alkohol ist gut eingebunden. Im Abgang etwas verbrannter Zucker.

Tasted quickly at the Rumfest. Very nice bottle, a very nice Hampden H or you will find all the markers you like. I am not under the spell, but it is very personal. Known profile and without surprise for my part I miss a little something.
