Saint James Rhum Paille
Sipped neat, this comes across light to the point of thin — a few tasters swear it reads more like 35% than 40%. The two months in oak add just a whisper of cedar over the grassy agricole base, with vanilla and a short, soft finish. Most owners here land underwhelmed: not quite a blanc, not really an aged rhum. If you're curious about agricole, a proper Blanc gives you more.

Bought and emptied this bottle in Nerja, Spain. Overall a very thin/weak Agricole. Better to buy a Blanc. The nose is fruity, sweet and spicy with a touch of wood and scents of honey, licorice and vanilla. At the palate it’s balanced, sweet, fruity with some woody notes that stays there during the rather short finish.

A bit thin, but good taste.

In my mind they should never have made this rum. It's flat and boring and feels like they put a rhum blanc into a barrel for a year and that's it. Not recommendable in my mind.
Review by Jeremy Dautel
Very light yet it’s 40°, but you’d think it’s no more than 35°. Very short aging 2/3 months, you can feel it, it feels like drinking a white with a little woody touch.

Neither fish nor fowl. Total mispurchase. Little aroma, flat, and no recommendation – not even for mixing. A real disappointment for an Agricole rum.

This rum is bad. Bad nose, tastes like pure ethenol. I do not suggest this rum at all
