Alcoholes Y Rones de Panama SA Origenes 18 Years
Cocoa, milk coffee and caramel toffee lead here, with dark chocolate and a little wood and leather underneath. It's a soft, round Panama sipper that goes down easily — the kind non-nerdy friends tend to like right away. Most tasters call it a touch too sweet and wish it had more punch; at 40% it stays gentle. A few even found it a bit unexciting.

Nice Panama rum, I find it very round and super easy to drink, nice intense caramel and raisin notes. I was thinking about buying a bottle of it because I think this rum is great for friends who aren’t so nerdy. I could also enjoy it on a sweet evening.

It's now far too sweet for me and could do with a little more power. But still very drinkable and a nice starter rum.
Review by BjörnNi 🥃
Solid rum from Panama, unfortunately a bit too sweet. But still tasty 😃
Review by Holzi
Very soft pleasant rum. Suitable for beginners but also for advanced drinkers. For me, it delivers what it promises... that's how a rum has to taste to appeal to the broad mass of rum drinkers.
Review by Timo Groeger
Solid Panama rum, but in my opinion a bit too sweet. Lots of cocoa and dark chocolate on the nose, also some wood and leather. On the palate again dark chocolate and some wood, plus a bit of coffee.

Very delicate and fine 🤤

for the money I would have expected more, relatively interchangeable with x other rums on'm market yet tasty
Review by Leo Krüper
Quite ok, but for the money you get from Panama also better. Fits perfectly with the cigar.
Review by SaibotZtar
How good would this rum be if it were bottled in cask strength .... shame about it yet always a pleasure.
Review by w00tAN
A very round and beautiful complex rum but not quite cheap and for the coal you can also find some exciting alternatives.
Review by GuybrushThreepwood
Quite tasty. Solid Panama rum with nice notes of cocoa, milk coffee and caramel toffee. Would tolerate a bit more punch. With 45 or 48 percent volume it would certainly have much more to offer. Potential is there.

Original impressions from 2017 rum calendar. Nose: ** Taste: *** Overall: ** Barrel, caramel and raisins on the nose. Palate is a bit dry with the same caramel notes and spices.
Review by Christophe Fertel
Rather pleasant on the nose (fruity), not very complex on the palate, with aging bringing out the woody side and a touch of vanilla/fruit.
Review by Benoit Bail
A very nice rum in this style with warm and welcoming notes. Perfect to pair with a cigar.

Uff, there is nothing really wrong with it. But really, there is nothing that excite me about this rum. It is the boring, lightly sweetened stuff that we would generally call Spanish style. In this case this is helpful to get you unexcited...
