Description: Rhum Charrette Le Vanillé is a flavored rum from the island of La Réunion, made according to a Réunion Creole tradition. Its production begins with the selection of quality sugar canes, grown on the volcanic soil of the island, then pressed to extract their juice. This juice is fermented before being distilled, usually in a column, to produce a pure and robust base rum. (Source: culturerhum.fr and excellencerhum.com) Nose: vanilla Palate: vanilla, round, balanced, very light coffee. Finish: vanilla, round Conclusion: frankly, very good for those who don't like dry or low-sugar rum. Yes, it's not complex but people who rarely or never taste rum like it very easily. My friend bought it for €19 in France, I currently see it at 30 euros, it's clearly a good buy for the average person.

In my opinion, this vanilla rum doesn't really hit my taste. On the nose, we mainly have vanilla, some honey is also noticeable. On the palate, it's mostly sweet, naturally a lot of vanilla again, but also some honey.

A good, very smooth vanilla rum. The vanilla is very present and lingers for a long time on the palate, but the rum flavor itself is almost absent. It's also way too sweet for me but still pleasant.
