Very sweet, respectively, too sweet for a distillate, which was created only by storage in the (dry) barrel. Taste okay, although of course very sugary and therefore rather to be considered as a "bottled cocktail".

Unfortunately quite characterless. No real distillate notes. Lots of vanilla and caramel with slight cocoa and chocolate notes. However, many rums from Central America taste like this. So no recommendations from me.

Banana on the nose, while the taste is more like dark chocolate. Feels like it can make good old fashion with chocolate bitters. Average with pinneaple juice.

I am a novice and, through a recommendation, decided to start with this rum. It has nice vanilla overtones which I enjoy mixed with Coke Zero. At around $35, it is my current go-to as I branch out and try other types of rum.

Besser wie White und gold aber immer noch weit entfernt von einem guten Rum für über 30€. Riecht und schmeckt primär nach künstlichen Gummibananen, Dr. Oetker Vanille Aroma und generell eher sehr nach zugesetzten Aromen als nach einem echten gereiften "dunklen" Rum. Sicherlich auch ordentlich mit Zuckercouleur nachgeholfen, dazu erneut unangenehm alkoholisch und das bei Grade Mal 40%. Schade. Ich bekomme schon Kopfschmerzen von weniger als 1cl...
