On the nose: wood, citrus, burnt sugar, dried fruits, spices and vanilla. On the palate it is sweet with dried fruits (dates), peanuts, wood, a vegetal side and some sweet spices. Short and sweet finish with a bit of pepper.

No. Spend the extra coin and buy the VSOP. Don’t bother with this. That includes cocktails. That slight extra age makes a huge difference.

Got this 5cl sample from the Rum Ratings Tasting Club. Clément VO 3yo is a blend of rums aged in new oak barrels and former bourbon barrels. The finish is medium long with tastes of cane and lime besides the tastes from the palate. Overall a typical young AOC rum.

Vacation Caribbean September 2026. Pub Restaurant Bodlanmè Bar Marian on Martinique. This pub is also in our hotel complex, so it has to be tested. Quite a nice Agricole to end the day.

Nice for a first approach to farming. I liked it in ti-vieux too. Edit: for 24€ in a supermarket in mainland France, you get something that's worth a hundred times as much as a diplomatico or a bumbu.

This Clément VO is a very respectable agricultural rum for its moderate price. An easy-to-find bar essential. On the nose, the woodiness is clearly evident. On the palate, the woodiness is also predominant, with spicy and bourbon notes. The rather short finish is dominated by wood and sweet spices.

Lovely gourmet nose of confectionery. Quite mineral on the palate, but a little too light. The greediness promised on the nose is far too reduced for my taste. Moreover, there's not much left in the way of length. A nice rum to pair with very light cigars. Too bad it lacks a bit of wattage, otherwise it would be very, very nice...

On the nose dried fruits and young wood, on the palate spices add in. It’s very smooth, melodious with a touch of vanilla and it goes down very well neat. At €17 a bottle on promotion, very good value for money

Pleasant rum. The body is supple, with a nice golden color with light nuances. The nose reveals diverse aromas, between sweet apricot and spices. On the palate, notes of tropical fruits as well as dried fruits are identified. The finish, which tends towards a woody taste, unfortunately dissipates quite quickly.

This Clément VO is good, nothing transcendent but as a digestif and for a reduced price, it does the job very well. The nose reveals an interesting aromatic palette, spices and dried fruits are predominant. The palate is quite straightforward, a good warmth, on wood and spices. The finish is relatively long, and remains on a very pleasant woody note. Very good value for money.

A Martinique agricole rum at a first-price level, very common in supermarkets. Really, this is not a good rum, it’s a rum that can scare people away from agricole rums and definitely from the Clément brand. I didn’t find any interesting taste, it’s woody and salty at best, no subtlety, no fruitiness. I wonder how it can get an average rating of 7/10!... and for example an average rating of only 7.4/10 for the J.M. Terroir Volcanique (whose budget is quite similar)... incomprehensible, compare and you’ll see there’s a huge world between the two. If this one scores 7/10, how much would one give simply a Neisson profile 107, 50/10??? For a discovery budget, better go for the same price on Saint James, Dillon, HSE, or even better an amber rum La Favorite quite common in supermarkets (1L at 27 euros).
