The surprise here is the dryness: for a 10-year agricole, the sweet cane note hangs back and lets wood, tobacco and a herbal, vegetal edge lead. Several tasters find it sharp and a little sec up front, then dried fruit — apricot, marmalade — shows up late on the finish. Honey, vanilla and oak round it out. Elegant and balanced, if a touch unremarkable to some.

Tasted this full-bodied rum at the Rhum Fest Paris 2026. The nose is intense, roasted, woody, spicy, fruity and sweet with scents of vanilla, orange, marmalade, honey, cocoa, acacia, leather and cigar. At the palate it’s powerful, full-bodied, round, fruity, dry, vegetal, woody and spicy with flavors of pineapple, grapefruit, pepper, vanilla and cinnamon. The finish is rather long.

Very bitter and dry notes on the nose, only honey forms a certain contrast. Typical Agricole, but a bit thin. Full attack in the mouth: sharp, dry, vegetal. In the finish then surprisingly more fruit (apricot) and sweet sugarcane come through again. Overall the rum does not convince me.

👃 The woodiness is quite noticeable, accompanied by almond, banana, vanilla, and tobacco. 👄 The palate, a bit dry and round, adds walnut, apricot, chocolate, and spices. The finish is medium.

Caribbean vacation September 2026. Shop Boutique Saturne in Martinique. In our last destination, there is still a well-stocked spirits shop. The last one from this shop is also the best, a nice Agricole.

25.09.2019 Had a nice meet up with friends at this nice hotel near the airport. Notes Medium to dark in colour. Nose Fresh, spice, light wood, light tobacco, dried fruit, pineapple,. Palate Fresh, medium dry, wood, lightly spicy, orange, light licorice, spice. Finish Medium to long, wood, dried fruit, light orange, light vegetal, medium dry. I have since then emptied a few of these bottles and also picked up the 15 year old.

Beautifully matured agricole. Great tobacco notes. The only thing that bothers me is a slight musty taste. Similar to tobacco. Otherwise a very round and harmonious product. Anyone who likes agricole should try it

Typical agricole notes. Sweet, fruity, grassy but for me also somewhat unbalanced and sharp. Still not a bad rum.

I want to say: "It's Clément..." You know what to expect. On the nose: lots of wood, the agricultural side and vanilla. On the palate: still the woody and agricultural dominance, quite dry. Finish: average, the flavors fade quite quickly. Good tasting without big surprises. Fans of agricole and Clément will find their happiness.

Notes very oriented towards honey/oak/vanilla. On the palate: lively, even spicy, rather dry, vegetal... You find a taste of nuts/wood. The sweetness of the cane doesn't arrive immediately and at the end of the palate you're surprised to see dried fruits appear. I will deepen my analysis in a second tasting.

A delicate rum... fine and balanced. It is elegant and smooth while being without great surprise... if you're looking for fun, move on. If you're looking for a delicate rum to spend a good moment of calm and fullness. Pour!

Typical French style of rum Agricole. Nose: mild, smooth, only hints of fruit, cream and sweetness. Palate: Extravagant, herbal, subtle honey, typical vegetal notes of pure sugarcane distillate, hints of woody dryness, subdued fruits, creamy, silky mouthfeel. Finish: long and mellow, oaky, creamy. 42% ABV do not make it watery.
