Despite the name, the fruit isn't a given — a few tasters got ripe peach, mango and banana over cane, while one couldn't find any fruit at all. What everyone agrees on is the young JM oak: grassy, spicy, a little glue, and a noticeable alcohol lift for only two years in cask. Several call it a friendly way into short-aged agricole.

8,2:The nose lives up to its promise, with a sweet fruit salad in syrup.Peach is standing out. It's a very colorful nose, with fruits of all kinds that have one thing in common: they're perfectly ripe and bursting with sunshine. The cane is nestled in the heart of this fruit basket, or even compote, and is joined by a small cinnamon stick.Aeration and rest bring out a soothed, mature rum, conquered by candied cane, butter notes. Its vegetal side is tender and mellow, caressing a mountain of sleeping dried fruit. 8,4:The palate is soft and fluid, with a smooth, ripe, mellow, candied cane, volcanique undertones are present. Its sweet flesh is bursting with mild spices, rose fetals, which flow like syrup. Cinnamon, tonka bean and nutmeg coat roasted exotic fruits such as banana and guava, orchard fruits, some caramel, even iodine. 8,2: The finish is inhabited by superb, very ripe cane, with sweet aromas of whole cane sugar, dry and woody with pastry, vanilla... Tasted this rum together with the other two releases in the Atelier series out in my summer house in the Stockholm archipelago. This one the is two year old Jardin Fruité aged in both American and French oak and it’s really living up to its name just as the other two. The nose is woody, spicy and very fruity with aromas of exotic fruits like pineapple and banana but there’s also some aroma of vanilla and oak. At the palate it’s elegant, smooth, spicy and again very fruity with flavors of tropical fruit, vanilla and nutmeg. The finish is medium long.

Tasted at the start of a lineup with friends, we compared it with Creole spices. Very fruity nose. Indulgent palate, it's very round. The quality/price ratio is also nice. Finish rather average in length.

Pub The Rumah Rotterdam April 2026. We have a very nice Agricole here, you can tell right away from the nose that it’s an Agricole. You can clearly recognize wood as well as various spices. Also, it’s still quite fruity.

Just another winner in terms of price/quality. I could definitely keep a bottle of this at home. Intense flavors and slightly fruitier, a bit spicy with the wood which is also clearly recognizable. The finish is medium long.

I like it quite well neat for an Agricole. I strongly think of Cognac here again, the grassy fresh Agricole notes hardly stand out to me. Slightly fruity like freshly cut apple.

Bought this rum few years back as a cocktail rum, but now im tasting it neat. On the nose: Grassy, light sugarcane notes, light citrus notes. Light earthy notes in the background. To me, this agricole forward and fruity notes as very mild on the background. Taste: Light and soft mouthfeel. Grassy and sugarcane notes. Light woody notes. Mineral. Finish: Light sugarcane notes, mineral, vegetal notes. Dry. Medium finish. Quite basic, mineral agricole rum that didn't offer me much of fruity notes.

Honestly, for 35€, can you do better? Tasted dry, the typical JM wood is there, but beautiful tropical fruits encompass and soften the whole, a little papaya perhaps. Some smoky notes and spices add a lovely finish! Excellent RQP.

After opening, the rum already brings a spicy, fruity freshness on the nose. The name is therefore program. On the palate, the freshness takes the lead, the alcohol feels a little bit spritzy. Still good!

Description: Nose: fruity woody Palate: light woody, fruity and peppery Finish: short, light woody and lightly fruity peppery Conclusion: very good sipping rum for 30€ (recommended as such) or a bottle for beginners or as a gift. The taste doesn't linger in the mouth but is good, I don't know of a version where the taste would be more consistent, maybe also more complex in this style? I bought it at auction for 25€

The nose is rather bland. On the palate, the attack is well-fruited, but the finish turns to woodiness and a saline, even iodized note, which I didn't like very much...

Quite nice. And for the price you get a good complexity taste, but not overwhelming for beginners. A good one to start exploring out of the realm of the vanillas/caramel, and more into complex nose & taste without getting off guard and spending much. Tropical fruits, maybe banana forward, spicy, woody and on the base of it all, some weird mineral chocolate nutty taste... Quite nice.

What a perfect value for price. Nose: gentle but bright. Young wood, orange peels. Lot of resin & rosin. Hay, pineapple, apples, plums, herbals, grass, flowers. Some cardamon & agricole notes. Palate: Herbals, oil, grass, olives, bitter orange, cardamon, white pepper, fennel. Aftertaste: medium. Grass, herbals, oil. Conclusion: well, it's great entry level rum. Good balanced & nise aromatic.

Fruit garden - the name says it all! A briefly aged, fruity-fresh agricole at a good price, pleasant but not overwhelming. Very good value for money. A suitable door opener to the segment of briefly aged agricoles.
