Very light nose offering complexity. Suggest this would work better in fruit based cocktails due to its sharpness as a mechanism to modify sweetness.

This Diplomatico is not nearly as sweet as the DRE so it’s an easy choice to choose it before the DRE. The spices are soft and appears during the rather short finish.

30.08.2026 Retasting at the German Rum Festival 2026 and I still don't like it. ---------- I tried this in my Christmas chocolate cake and it was a hit. The first time I use a whit rum for baking and it's not the last time :-) Merry Christmas to all of you.

It's even somewhat drinkable neat. The nose is quite medicinal and alcoholic, but citrus fruits are also recognizable. On the palate mostly citrus fruits and some coconut added. Unfortunately a bit too alcoholic.

I'm not exactly a fan of white rum. This one doesn't convince me either. The aroma is almost imperceptible, with some spiciness, vanilla and spices on the palate. It is one of the better white rums, but still nothing for pure enjoyment. However, it is well suited for mixing.

Nearly no nose to describe but what is there is delicate and subtle. The taste is complex, sharp and spicy, with an equally spicy hot finish. Pleasant but might be an acquired taste for some.

If you like botanicals, this is your very unique white rum. I would use this rum in any gin based cocktail or sip it neat if that’s your thing. It tastes nothing like most white rums except the sugar cane juice flavor that comes through at the mid palate. Very floral, botanical, and aromatic.

No nose to speak of, and on the taste it reminds me more of a vodka than a rum. Do think it will be well suited as a mixer, but will not be sipping it neat, that’s for sure. Probably won’t buy this one again.

This is a sweetened dessert rum. It's 'unaged' so I can't complain about wood flavors. But really it doesn't taste like much of anything but sugar. I drink this neat. I won't rebuy.

Tasted 28-03-2016 This is another white rum expression that I just didn't understand the place of white rums . This is designed for a daquiri. This expression is very sweet and tastes like it's filtered through charcoal ... Very woody

A rather heavy clear rum. Notably woody, drying aspect in both nose and taste, this is certainly not Newmake, but aged and filtered. Might be somewhat sweetened, but not much, this leans towards woody, bitter, somewhat alcohol-ish, with hints of gasoline sweetness/oiliness. Not tropical, not fruity at all. But also, not "bad" per se, it's enjoyable if you want Astringent, woody experience with a gasoliney, perfumey touch.
