10.10.2020 Sample tasting at home. Notes Dark in color. Nose Fresh, light wood, spice, light floral, berries, light orange, faint chocolate. Palate Oily, wood, light roasted, fruits, berries, light citrus, light chocolate, floral, clove. Finish Medium to long, wood, citrus, light floral, spice.

Tasted at the incredible Rum Bar Room in Tokyo (September 2024). I asked for a Martinique rum to start my night and this was the selection/recommendation from the kind and knowledgeable bartender and owner. It was a wonderful pick to get the ball rolling on what would be an incredible night spent tasting and talking. The nose had notes of wood, citrus and deeper fruit, chocolate and some spice. On the palate it was nicely balanced with some caramel sweetness and woodier, drier notes. Almost reminiscent of a cognac in its suaveness.

Not many tasting notes on this one, tasted at the rhumfest. But it's really the one I preferred on the 3 Rivières stand. Very nice balance between spice and sweetness. Nice length. A truly beautiful Agricole.
