The glue-like whiff when you first pour it throws people off — give it ten minutes and it blows off, leaving toffee, caramel, vanilla and a little dark chocolate. This is a soft, mild Panama column rum in the Don Pancho / Havana Club vein, just sweeter and rounder. Most tasters land on the same verdict: pleasant, easy, but light and short on depth.

Most helpful positive review
After pouring, it smells a bit chemical (like UHU glue), so let it rest for 10 minutes, then the smell fades away.... ... and you are rewarded with an excellent rum. Not too sweet, mild and silky smooth with a great toffee/caramel note.

This is a basic rum, no interesting flavor, maybe a bit of mildew in the wood notes. It's not bad, it's a bit sweet but not unpleasantly sweet. It's ordinary. I suspect it has added sugar. I drink this neat. I won't rebuy.

I would say a solid Panama entry-level rum. I agree with the reviews, the sweetness doesn't offer more. Definitely here you can admire dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel, toffee and cocoa.

This rum does not stand out. It is pleasant and smooth but extremely light in nose and taste. The most is of sweet butterscotch and so is the taste with little depth. There is very little finish as the rum dissipates quickly. There is very little that stands out about this rum.

Very smooth, mild, caramel, vanilla, a bit of chocolate, a hint of wood. In the nose, there's still tobacco and barrel. You can see the parallels to the Cuban style / Havana Club (Don Pancho), but clearly milder, sweeter, less tobacco & wood, fewer edges and corners. Drinks: - Neat: 4.5/5 - Rum Cola: 4/5 - Rum Punch: 4/5
