Havana Club Verde
Juniper, lime and a green herbal-menthol edge lead here, with light citrus and a touch of artificial sweetness — one taster nailed it as Havana 3 with citrus syrup and a splash of lime. This is Havana Club's white rum aimed at the gin-and-tonic crowd, and most members found it thin, oddly herbal and unpleasant neat. In tonic it works far better than expected.

How does Havana Club Verde taste?
From community reviews · summarized with AI
Juniper-citrus spirit made for tonic, not sipping Deeply divisive, mostly disliked. Almost everyone calls it too thin and weirdly herbal to sip; several admit it drinks surprisingly well with tonic, like a rum answer to gin.

Just served to the neighbor again as a cocktail because she likes it so much 😅. Well, that's how you get rid of your bad buys and shelf warmers. Out of curiosity tasted again neat, no this is absolutely not my thing. Personally not my taste as a mixer either. But luckily there are neighbors. Since it seems to be well received as a mixer, I assume it is drinkable for others.

What can I say, I don't know why anyone would produce something like this... it tastes like nothing and isn't even good for mixing... the poor sugarcane truly deserved something better
Review by Skyfly
Strange rum, since juniper is almost the most intense. Found an opened bottle during the move that probably never emptied for a reason. Besides juniper strong citrus notes, spices and some artificial sweetness. Maybe suitable for the masses in a long drink, but not for drinking neat.
Review by Tim
A positioned product from Havana meant to challenge gin. The juniper note is very clear and leaves no doubt about that. It is what it is, but it is not a positive extension of Havana rum.

Rarely drunk such a bad rum. The herbs are absolutely inharmonious and sting partly

I had bought in the summer on sale and thought worse than a white Havana Club 3 can not be. But far from it. Always had a disgusting cough drop alcohol note. Totally unbalanced and tasting like a headache. Even as a mixer off-putting. Tipped the whole bottle away.

Man, what is this supposed to be? This has nothing to do with rum. Tastes, as the name says, just green, somehow like a garden. Simply disgusting, I can't drink this, yuck...

Neutral alcohol meets lime. Not much more.

well... Havana's attempt to jump on the gin and tonic bandwagon... they could have stayed... quite nice with tonic actually but somehow also another product what the world would not have needed.
Review by Schnapsschuesse
Of course, the question is whether the world needs it. Clearly 'No, but...'. - the approach is quite interesting. It is an approach, albeit a strange one. Could have some potential and is therefore exciting. Smells like Havana 3 with Almdudler syrup and a thick shot of lime. Pure, the whole thing is very sweet and citrusy, has a bit of Ricola with more menthol. Out the back a bit tangy. Works with tonic but actually splendid. Kassiert loose the bulk of stink boring current gins. I'm curious whether a category was triggered or the stuff disappears again quietly from the market.

Strange drop... in Tonicwater interestingly not so bad, pure cruel.

Only suitable for mixing.
Review by Hendrik Fröhlich
Didn’t like it neat. Overall way too thin, spices barely noticeable. Okay in a Daiquiri, but boring.
