A light, mild rum without edges and corners, the rum for any occasion. Light vanilla and a slight taste of the cask, also in the smell. Overall good, you can't go wrong and it shouldn't be missing in the bar.

A very nice, balanced aroma, dried fruits, honey, caramel, on the palate with moderate but clearly noticeable sweetness, nice fruitiness, and a harmonious, intense, spicy cask influence. Overall relatively smooth, but quite good not just for the price.

Another nice tasting finished, this time with rums from the Domenican Republic. In my mind this rum will be too sweet for many, but a good rum none the less. The complexity is hidden under the sweetness and in my mind it should have been amped up with a little more proof. Price tag is really good compared to what you get.

6,9:On the nose, there is a quite balanced profile. The aromas that make up this profile are vanilla, wood, caramel, some nuts and a hint of orange/coconut with their sweetness. We cannot avoid bourbon fruits after some aeration, like peaches, cherry. . 6,9:On the palate, the attack is soft, honeyed, caramelized, but not sweet. The woodiness is present and even takes over the other aromas, without overpowering them. So, caramel is still present, as vanilla and a hint of bourbon fruitiness, there is still some peach, a hint of an alcohol, wood spice, roastedness, bitterness. 6,8:The finish is quite long and moderately sweet. It is dominated by the notes of bourbon ageing, so the wood, coconut, peaches, vanilla and some roasted nuts, perhaps leather.

Easy sipper..... Goes down very well due to the low ABV. An ordinary rum from the supermarket around the corner. But one of the best in the range. Good for beginners. I wouldn't buy a second bottle of this.

Attractive packaging but disappointing rum, admittedly at a low price. Fairly good value for money. It lacks length, depth, power and even fruitiness. But there's nothing unpleasant about it either.

Absolutely the price/performance winner. For about €22 you get a very nice sipping rum. Lovely vanilla and caramel notes, very mild which is not surprising at 38%. And although well suited for enjoying neat, at that price it's also not too precious for mixing.

It's not such a hit neat, but as a mixer, it's better than bacardi, captain and co. This rum was taken along purely as a mixer when it was on offer, where the alcoholic notes are clearly evident when pure.

Nez très agréable le caramel et le boisé font forte impression. En bouche l'attaque est douce, le boisé et le caramel restent présents... Ensuite plus rien. Une légère note de fût perdure à la finale mais de façon éphémère.

Even as a rum newbie, I heard that this rum has a great price-performance ratio. I have to agree even as a fresh rum high schooler. The rum is sweetened, which is unpleasant, and you can’t really talk about alcohol integration. However, if I have to choose a rum in a standard restaurant that isn’t focused on rums, I’ll pick this one.

A rather unspectacular and quite one-dimensional rum, but it goes down well and has a clean flavor profile. Even in cocktails it holds up really well despite only 38% with its vanilla barrel notes.

Really liked this one. Sweet, but not overly so with a nice bouquet. Lots of vanilla and baking spices. Some dried fruit as well. I don’t want to say too much about the taste as I added ice before evaluating, maybe I’ll edit this review with notes on the flavor. Long finish, this one stays with you. Great example of a long aged Dominican rum.

A nice example that a mass-produced supermarket product doesn't have to be mediocre: great exotic-sweetness-alcohol ratio, plenty of caramel, some burnt sugar, mild vanilla, neither woody nor herbal. Great product, great price.

I got the rum from my sister, who had stored it opened in the cellar for several years. I don't know if the recipe was ever changed, but I clearly get glue on the nose and palate. As a beginner, a bit unsettling at first, but afterwards fruity and sweet. Not my taste but close to "Good".

In my opinion, it’s not very complex. Simple light notes that don’t last long. It’s gentle with light chocolate as well as some vanilla with caramel. I think it’s okay for beginners, but you shouldn’t expect too much.

Wonderfully aromatic smell. Neat, a clear alcohol note stands out immediately, which softens towards the finish. While vanilla dominates the nose, woody notes come in on the palate. All in all definitely not too sweet.

Pleasantly surprised and liked it as quite nicely balanced rum. There is good touch of barrel on otherwise fresh, grassy rum. Of course I am noting added sugar, which brings it down in my perception.

Nice surprise from my friend. Aroma was sweet (vanilla), I noticed some fruits and woody almost smoky scents. Unfortunately, what is shame, there was weak alcoholic scent and I have to ask: WHY? Taste was again really sweet with combination of fruits, alcohol, wood and spice but at the same time, the whole flavor was so soft and very pleasant. Finish was not that long, I noticed some spice (dominant flavor). Overall nice rum, even for that price. It was soft with sweet scents and flavors. In my opinion great rum for drinks or maybe if the ABV was higher, the whole rum will be much better. Great sample for start your rum journey.

At least after the first tasting, I can't understand at all why some call this rum too sweet. I taste wood, leather, spice, and roasted notes. What I absolutely don't taste is sweetness. The smell, on the other hand, goes in a completely different direction. Here it's vanilla, honey, caramel, and a hint of marzipan. I've rarely tried a rum where smell and taste are so far apart. Overall, I find it good, especially for the price.

First rum I consciously tried, except Havana for cocktails. At first, caramel and sweetness come up in the smell, the alcohol hits the nose immediately if you don't give it a few minutes. The taste comes through if you take some time, with vanilla, caramel, and a bit of fruit. The finish is a bit like burnt sugar. Color-wise, a dark orange in the glass. So far, only tasted neat after letting the rum breathe for a few minutes.

The nose doesn't give me much. But in the mouth, it's wild. I immediately think of a fair. The feeling when you pass by a stand with all the typical fair sweets. Roasted almonds, cotton candy, chocolate banana, gingerbread hearts. That's exactly what I have on my tongue here, without being too sweet. I really like it.

On the nose: caramel, vanilla, sugar. On the palate: the same as what you sense on the nose. For me, it's clearly the pure "Ron" signature of molasses. Finish: short on sugar, vanilla, and caramel. Not my style at all but I understand its success for those discovering rum.

For the price of around 20€, definitely a good all-rounder. I find it quite drinkable neat and also a good option for cocktails that shouldn't be overloaded with rum. For me, it's something for beginners plus, especially once you've moved away from the very sweet stuff, also considering the price-performance ratio.

Honestly, I think with the right cigar you can also enjoy the drop. It doesn't always have to be an expensive rum. Although price is no guarantee of good taste. It doesn't have much body but definitely has its place.
